This fortnight it has been an absolute joy to start colouring Wyspy by Anita Grabos (review & video flip through). I reviewed the book when it first came out last year and it's been in the back of my mind for some time. It's funny how you need to wait for the right time to start a book.
The following two images show underwater life beneath firstly an inhabited island with its depleted marine life and rope entangled rocks. And then an uninhabited island with plentiful marine life and even a tourist submarine!

Also since the last Catchup post I've been back into The Night Voyage (review & flip through). This time I decided on a dense black background using Poscas, with varying success. I'm still struggling with this book but I am learning quite a lot. Colouring night scenes isn't straight forward.

And finally, I have been happily colouring in Jessica Palmer's new book, Tiffany Glass (review & flip through). This has led me on a research mission, trying to find the original lamps that inspired Jessica's drawings. She kindly replied to an email about one particular mystifing image that I'll be colouring next month probably. Anyway, enjoy these -

|Tiffany Glass - poppies|
