Colouring Catchup.....

Eyes are back to normal so I decided to tackle the next drawing in Floribunda - (review here).
Pale lemon lilies are rather lovely so I decided to colour this image for a pastel colours challenge. The other flower is Aquilegia which I love. I've got several in my garden but my favourite ones are this pale pink and lilac.
The leaves were a bit of a challenge to keep to pastel shades but there are still plenty of contrasting greens from the blue to the yellow range.
I'm really pleased with how this turned out. Many colourers achieve amazing results using strong bold colour in this book but I'm not so clever so I might use pastel colours again in future. This is coloured in Holbeins.

The fun continued with more from If the Cat Fits - review here. I don't like that colour of the desk much and it was quite hard to work with. The regimented pleats in the curtains were quite interesting to shade. Coloured in Tombows.

If the Cat Fits

Finally this week I coloured the next spread from Fantastisches Malbuch (review). This one is from Colin's book, Ruby, and I was amused by all the 80s-90s references in it. The signs are really funny too and I love to colour the Sydney Opera House. This is coloured mostly in Inktense and Graphitint.

See you next week, probably.

Some background - I've never had an art lesson in my life and I consider myself an average colourer who just puddles along, trying to complete books, enjoy and challenge myself. These colouring posts are really a record for me, primarily, of what I coloured and some background to the colouring. I doubt that anyone will learn anything from them so don't expect a tutorial! Just me, rambling about my hobby!
